The original artwork, reminiscent of a negative film, is a highly detailed photograph created from a composite of numerous images of Paris.
PANAME is a wide woven panel that opens like a window to a dreamy Paris by night.
The challenge was to translate this photographic technique into fabric.
To achieve this, the in-house design studio at Pierre Frey’s weaving workshop meticulously broke down the image into a multitude of grey-tone pixels, adapting it to the warp and weft threads of Jacquard looms.
PANAME is woven in Pierre Frey’s workshops in the North of France and certified as a Living Heritage Company.
The result is a spectacular panoramic view reflecting the splendor and vibrancy of Paris at night.
Whether it’s the Eiffel Tower glowing in the night sky or the majestic Seine weaving through the city, Paname captures these moments in fabric and wallpaper, bringing the charm and elegance of Parisian nights into any interior.
