Charlotte Kalt's private residence

Paris, France

CHARLOTTE KALT

Designed by Charlotte Kalt, the living room and dining room of this Parisian residence are a vibrant tribute to the singular aesthetic of Madeleine Castaing. The decoration of the two spaces is based on a common inspiration, a floral stripe motif imagined by the French antique dealer and decorator. Available in subtle shades of green and blue, the pattern blends harmoniously with the original wood panelling.

Fabrics, Rugs

The Thorp of London collection is showcased through the KENSINGTON print and its emblematic thistle motif, combined with two graphic ikats that adorn the seating in the living room and lend the whole a resolutely English charm.

On the floor, the bold spirit of Madeleine Castaing is once again expressed with the GEVAUDAN rug by Maison Braquenié, whose leopard pattern has been recoloured especially for this project. In both the living room and the dining room, the rugs echo each other, each distinguished by unique friezes: one borrowed from the DJEDEFRE model by Maison Pierre Frey, the other designed by Charlotte Kalt herself.
