Ruban
Designed by Estudio Persona, the Ruban line pays homage to this narrow strip of fabric ornamentation as a link between the physical and the emotional. The pieces interact with each other in a continuous dialogue of lines. A single line, with a strong yet subtle presence, outlines the contours of the seats. The movement of the ribbon is transcribed through folding. Entirely upholstered, the pieces impose themselves by their very graphic aesthetic.

Estudio Persona

Estudio Persona

Estudio Persona was created by Emiliana Gonzalez and Jessie Young in 2015. Born in Uruguay, they both met in Los Angeles where they started working on a collaborative process that evolved into the formation of Estudio Persona.

Their unconventional designs follow strong lines combined with a distinctly neutral and minimal approach. Working with natural materials in contrasting ways, they embody a
unique and ever evolving practice that is evident in their femenine lines and sculptural shapes. With a huge respect for traditional craftsmanship, they collaborate with local manufacturers and challenge their designs by adapting to the constraints they encounter with each material they work with.
