What were your inspirations for the creation of these two pieces? They are very different, what do they have in common? 

The starting point was to imagine furniture that is light to the eye, easy to handle and has a perfect hold, which is not always the case with upholstered furniture and is particularly important for bridges or armchairs. The fact that the backrest is hollowed out reduces the weight considerably and also allows for a better grip. But these are the only common points of these two models whose concept is very different.

Void, antinomic, is at the same time simple and sophisticated, graphic and all in roundness. Everything starts from the suspended backrest, as if balanced on the two corners of the armrests. It creates an unusual empty space that becomes the center of the chair. The visually light construction contrasts with a denser base and gives the model the presence of a good armchair and the delicacy of a chair.
The Anne bridge is more feminine, soft, comforting and enveloping. Curled between its two suspended arms, the back is kept straight but comfortable. The feet are bare and worked slightly curved with elegance and the upholstered seat offers all the comfort of an upholstered chair to this slender bridge. 

What is your favorite material or piece of furniture? 

I don't have a preference. Until now, I have been lucky enough to work on very different materials and product typologies. Each time, the creative experience has been enriching and has brought me great joy. I love textiles and presenting Pierre Frey's fabrics on a functional and contemporary product was very interesting. These two pieces allow everyone to play with fabrics, colors and materials, to mix and match and to design their own creations. It is possible to assemble two fabrics on the Void armchair. The piping on the Anne bridge can be discreet and blend in with the rest of the chair or on the contrary be very contrasting.

What characterizes your work as a designer? How would you define yourself? 

It's very difficult to define yourself. Like all designers, I attach great importance to how a product works and how it was made. My style evolves with each project and adapts to the know-how of each one. The common trait in all my work is to start my research from the inside out and to be as pragmatic as possible while integrating a humorous touch.
